Cumbrian Codgers Summer Outing
August 22 - August 25
The Summer Outing leaflet is attached. If you can printed double-sided, it’s formatted to produce a handy eight page A5 leaflet. I apologise for the later than usual timing, it’s taken longer than I expected to finalise everything.
The first towers are in the west of the county on Wednesday afternoon 22nd August, starting at 2.30pm. You’ll notice that we are ringing simultaneously at two towers at 2.30pm and again at two more at 4pm. You can choose to visit either or both at 2.30, they are about 5-10 minutes apart. Whilst at 4pm, the two towers are only a few hundred yards apart, so you can wander freely between both – indeed if you stand halfway between the two you can hear both (surprisingly they don’t sound too bad ringing together!). There is an “interesting” anticlockwise 3cwt ring of eight for those still standing at the end of the afternoon.
On Thursday 23rd we are ringing in the Stratford upon Avon / Wellesbourne area and there is an organised evening meal arranged at The King’s Head, Wellesbourne at 7pm. I need to know if you plan to come, and (at least) your main course pre-orders by Thursday 16th August. The full menu is attached, although if you want to check up to date prices, you can see them at www.vintageinn.co.uk/restaurants/midlands/thekingsheadwellesbourne/mainmenu
On Friday 24th we are ringing around the Warwick and Leamington Spa area. We are back in Warwick on Saturday morning and finish ringing at Kenilworth from 11.30-12.30.
That’s about it for now. Please feel free to email me if you have any queries. Otherwise I hope to get plenty of “I’m coming” emails before too long!
